Earthquakes and a JBJ 28 gallon Nano.

I live in LA and the Nano is perched up on the thin stand that's provided with the tank. I'd really like to get a better stand for it (made of wood, shorter) so that it at least has a better chance of withstanding an earthquake.

Any ideas/suggested approaches?

Thanks so much!

Heard from aquarium store owner. He said actually standard stands are safer than hard kitchen table top or too stable since it moves slightly when earthquakes quake happen. Not moving, especially on rimless is a more disaster.. it's from 30yrs expierence so I think hes right. If standard stands are bad, hes display tanks in store wouldn't able to survive for such a long time.

I bought mine from seaside aquarium. Owner works with stand maker and can give you nice deal. Not amazing quality like redsea or waterbox stand but good enough to hold water strong

I just moved to LA. Worried about the same thing. Honestly, that’s part of the reason I didn’t get a bigger tank
