easier stream removal

I am wondering if it would be unwise to cut the cord from the pump and install a connecting plug on the two ends, so as to make removing them to clean a much simpler task.

Thanks,
Adam

That also crossed my mind. I wonder if that would void any warranty? I didn't feel it was worth it to try it, especially if something went wrong.

I think this has been asked before and the general response was dont do it, as you open up issues with poor connections and similar.

Not sure the electronic driver would be too happy driving a pump with a poor connection on the lead

No need to add one since they already have a connecting plug...just remove the cover from the driver (blue box) and you'll see the white connector. I'm not sure if the connectors are designed for repeated plug / unplug operation, but in some situations it makes setting up / removing the Streams alot easier.

As said above, and yes it would void the warranty because if the cable wiggled loose while the pump was energized the pump and driver could be destroyed and I have never seen anyone do this in a reliable manner- keep in mind their are 5 tiny wires inside that cord.
