EB8 Software level

Just added a second EB8 to my new Apex setup.

It's showing the original EB8 at software level 9, the new one I just added is showing software level 8.

Should I upgrade to 9 before I start using it/programming it?

Also...where do I get the firmware updates at? Can't seem to find them on the Neptune site.

Yes

the updates are on Neptunes website under Support -> Downloads

To updated the EB8 it will get the firmware from the already installed controller.

Just update it

Just as a heads up, the pop up status window for the module update (via the web page) can be finicky. It does not always indicate that it has completed. Give it a few minutes. Then check the module list again to see that the rev has changed.

Anything special needed to upgrade the EB8?

I have the correct module selected, select the Update Firmware radio button and press the "Submit Module Change"...

A popup displays...never seems to go away...when I close it to go back to the main APEX Module setup screen....the EB8 still shows SW Rev 8.

Ideas?

I have three eb8 setup and they are not all the save rev number

Apex said rev 8 and 9 were no different, other than support for the EB4.

Not a problem leaving it a 8...but I don't understand why it wouldn't update?

Any issues using Google Chrome?

That is the issue I was referring to, though it usually works. The other option is to try it from the display unit (Home>Setup>Module Setup>Update Module).

mines not updating the EB8 as well and it's stuck at rev 6
