I'm working on a 450 gallon set up. The acrylic will be 1" thick. The magnetic holders for the units are only good for up to 3/4" tanks. Also with the tank having about a 4-5 inch lip all the way around the top, I don't know how you would use the Tunze holders to attach then to the rim of the tank.

Could someone please help me figure out how to mount them in my tank? I want to use 4 of them with the contoller (tunze).

Thanks for your help,

LEP

I love my various Tunze streams (7 total). You could get strong cleaner magnets and use them to mount the holders. Just a thought.

Hey there is an idea! Would you use epoxy to glue the tunze to the magnet?

Thanks,

Actually I used the Tunze magnets inside the tank and the cleaner magnets outside the tank. The only difference between using Tunze outside and cleaner magnets is that you can get various strength cleaner magnets.

My 300g acrylic is 1" thick with 3" Euro brace.
I use the Tunze Magnet Holder 6200.50 and they are doing fine; I have 4.
You can see them on the back of the tank
