A few weeks ago i decided to start a nano tank based on the Eclipse Hex5. The tank has about 5 lbs of LR, and a 1.5" LS bed.
(this is my first time uploading pics, bare with me)

I have 1 xenia, a green zoo frag and an orange zoo frag.
Clean up crew includes 2 margrita snails, a cerith snail (spelling?) and 3 blue leg hermits.

I have done a ton of mods to the tank. Im using the stock filter box, but i removed the cartridge and put chaeto in the first compartment, and liverock rubble in the second.

As for the lighting, i ripped everything out of the stock hood with a rotary tool and put in 2 10watt coralife 50/50 bulbs. That brings me to 4 watts per gallon, that'll work.

Thats my tank. comments, ideas, and insults welcome!

Looks good. I have an eclipse12 and I was gonna mod it, but I upgraded to an aquapod 24 for about same the same price it was gonna cost me to mod the 12. Keep us updated!

Great work on the tank, I hope to be in your position by next week, minus the living things :D Keep us updated with pics as the tank progresses.

great looking tank. i use to have the 7 gal. eclipse which i think has the same dimensions except taller. one mod that i did to get more light was to take out the filter and then put the smallest aquaclear on the back after cutting out the plastic thats between the filter and the tank. then i installed a 20 watt srew in coralife bulb in the back hood where the filter was. just if you want more light.
