Eco-friendly RO plumbing?

How could you plumb an RO unit so it doesn't waste the 'waste water?' I have heard of plumbing them into a washing machine, and using it to wash clothes. How would you do that?

Any other eco-friendly ideas you can think of are welcome.

Thanks.

Make sure you washer will hold it all, you make 10 gallons you waste 40 and thats a lot of water on the floor if the tub doesn't hold that much.
I bought a new Spectrapure MaxCap UHE and am only wasting one gallon for every two I make now, can't beat that!

all of my wastewater gets pumped into a 40 gal garbage can outside. It has a constant siphon pvc on it, which i use to fill buckets and stuff to water trees. Use it for gardens, washing cars etc...

set up a freshwater central american or african cichlid tank, they love the hard water that comes out of the waste line
