Ecoray 112

I am wanting to put this light over a 93 cube (30x30x24). Do you think this light will produce adequate coverage. It is a mixed reef with sps and lps mainly. Does anyone have much info on this light?

Has anyone had any experience with this light? I purchased one and im hoping it wasn't a bad choice. I haven't set the tank up yet. The store had the smaller one set up and looked very nice but it was on a smaller tank.

Thinking you should be good. I've been researching the lights as well. Please let me know how they work out for you. might need two on each end of tank tho.
Do you think the ecoray 60d would be fine for a 57 g deep blue rimless tank or should I run with the 112d .
I need opinions

the 60 really doesnt cover a 24x24 area

The 60 that I seen was over a 20x20 cube and that was about as big of a tank as that light could handle it looked like. It was super bright but doesn't spread out much.

So you guys just saying I should run with the 112d?
I have no problem I just want to make sure everything gets done properly

I would say yes. What i was told and have read is that the 112d covers a 27x 18 area with a pretty high par. Thats my concern with a cube tank . I have heard the have the intensity of a 400w halide but 50% more efficient than a 250de this is the reason im going to give it a try.

But do you think it would be good for my 57 g? 36x18x20
Would I be fine to grow corals on the sand bed fine ? & what kinda skimmer would you recommend

I emailed the ecoray company and a sales representive told me with the size tank I have I can use two ecoray 60d on my tank and be fine. What do you guys think?

I have been using the Ecoray 112D for almost one year in my 150x70x60

Some pics for showing the growth

So coral does grow? And the pictures look awesome.
My friend spent 700 on an led fixture and his corals aren't doing good he says it's his "water" but I'm not sure lol. & you recommend me getting the 112d or two 60ds . The rep said if I do run with the 112d will leave some dead spots but both will cover it completely (60d)

Ecoray 112D on my 150x70x60(cm)
The dimension of 112D is 50x30(cm)
Sorry, the lights are still off this morning when I take the pic

I do not have experience with the 112 however I do with the ecoray 60D. I agree with the people that have said it does NOT cover a 24x24 area (at least at full intensity). I currently have one on my 45 bow front & although there is a light pattern that covers the entire tank, the majority of the light is directed straight down under the fixture & spreads a few inches out each direction. It almost reminds me of a laser pen. The color is brilliant though, & the shimmering effect put off by the lights is stunning. Don't get me wrong, this light does provide adequate growth for my corals but they need to be placed pretty much directly under the fixture to get the proper lighting they need. I now have a 150 watt MH that I won at a raffle two weeks ago, so I do not have this issue anymore but the only corals I kept outside of direct light was mushrooms & zoas. They seemed to be pretty happy anywhere in. the tank. Now I have LED on one side if the tank & mh on the other.

Could not agree more with that
