Here are some differences from Gen 1 to Pro

I left the Gen 1 on the Left and the Pro on the Right for these pictures.

Tis is truly amazing I think halides are going to be a thing of the past. I just purchased a brand new G1 and will be installing the TIR lens on it. I could not afford the pro but after looking at your par readings its going to be more then I would need. A 210 par reading at the bottom of a 29" tank is unbelievable. I don't think I come even close right now with my 400 watt radium with 150 vho and my tank is 30 inches deep. I can't wait to get my fixture this week.....I am so ready to get the colors from my sps that I have been looking for. Thanks for taking the time to post the results and keep the picture res rolling.

Don't go crazy blasting with Par. I found that a 20k 20-100% cycle during the day is my sweet spot for SPS growth and color.

Thanks for the advice , I really need to learn the acclimation of these lights. Do you know of any thread that gets into detail with this?

I would post in the Ecotech Forum about the acclimation.

I previously had 250w DE MH and they were similar in par so I was around 75-80% of max for the first 5-6 months, then I slowly upped it to 100% all on but then I started to notice that my Sps had terrible color. So I moved to the current plan of 20k. My sps and anemones are happy with the 20k.

I will have to check about the electricity costs.

For the tank and growth......

Duncan in the middle was once a single polyp. I have had it for a year, about six months ago I chopped it into four pieces. Kept one with three heads and sold the rest. It is now 20 polyps.

The anemone on the far left split and darkened since I went to the 20k cycle

The large monti cap was a one inch frag and now it is large.

The birdsnest was along a small 1inch frag. It has been growing well. It has been fragged a few dozen times. I recently dropped it on a scoly and it looks to be dying at the spot of contact. So I might have to do some chopping to save it.

The upper 1/3 is all sps and has grown well and darkened since the 20k cycle. I have fragged them each a few time and they live in my basement frag tank. I will take a picture that radion frag tank tonight.

All of my maxi minis have kept their color on the sand. I recently cut them and moved them all to my basement frag tank.

My Nuclear Green Palys and PPE's are all dark and doing well. You can see them around the lower middle of the tank. Same with the blue hornets.

Failures- I try to run a stable tank so I don't have much death. However, I can't keep a blotchy anthias alive and I killed all of my pumpkin chalices (moved them to all different areas and no luck).
