can i customize my light settings without being online? is there an app i can use to do this where i dont need internet connection?

You can absolutely control the lights without internet. The light comes with a USB cable that can plug right into a laptop or even your desktop computer. You program the light using the Ecosmart Live Connection Manager just like you were online. Your lights will then be programmed and you can even unplug and it will remember the program. Before I got my Apex, this is how I programmed my lights. Worked just fine. :bounce1:

can you please tell me the tab to select to go about doing this? i have a mac and ive tried every tab and nothing looks like ecotechlive.com site

Go to the ecotech website and download the Ecotech Live Connection Manager software. Then just launch the software and it will tell you to connect the lights.

had to pull out an old pc desktop that i luckily had in the closet
didnt work for mac - but came right up as you said for pc

Too funny, I was talking about using a mac, as I do use PC for anything. I did not have any trouble at all with mac. Oh well, glad you got it working. :bounce1:
