ecotech rms design question

I currently have the xr30w pro gen 3 over my 60 rimless cube and noticed that it leans downward and it's all the way down on the glass edge..my question..is this how it's suppose to sit ?is there something I can do to correct the issue?is anyone else having this problem?

Reefer,

The RMS may appear to have a slight lean depending on which rail you use. I would recommend ensuring all connections are tight.

Is it possible to have rubber shims that are angled to prevent this?maybe on the inside and outside of the clamp?I love the design but the downward lean kind of ruins the overall look when admiring it from the side

I was gong to say to rubber shim it but you beat me to it. that will adjust the lean if you have one.

I'm having the same issue with my mount and XR15's on a rimmed tank. Is there a solution for this? Since these are not cheap doesn't seem like we should have to play around with shims or mods for these.

The RMS is not designed to sit exactly level over your aquarium. I would recommend ensuring all connections are tight checking the rim of your tank to verify that it isn't flexing.

A nylon adjustment screw on the inside half of the mounting clamp would be a nice improvement. I shimmed mine with acrylic to level.

Same problem here with my new mount. It's not level, not even close, and looks stupid. Has anyone found a fix?

I used a piece of rubber on the inside part of the clamp (inside the tank) and it works perfectly

I'll try that, thanks. Everything on mine is clamped tight and installed properly. It's a brand new Reefer tank. This mount just has a flawed design.
