It figures that I would spend hundreds of dollars on light fixtures that would turn out to be obsolete before I even had them hung...
I purchased 2 ecoxotic panorama fixtures several months ago. I've had them installed for some time, and my corals all do perfectly fine under them, but I don't have anything too light intensive - just one little stylophora frag.
Visually, I decided I wanted more brightness and more color, so I THOUGHT I ordered 2 extra actinic modules to add to the existing fixtures. But, they don't even MAKE the ones I have anymore. So, the store sent me the new Pro modules, the Pro reflectors, and then he threw in a splitter and a power supply because he felt bad for me.
I got them last night, and they are CRAZY bright compared to the ones I already have. I refuse to throw out the fixtures I've already bought, so I am just going to add some more of the Pros, and "wing it." Unfortunately these fixtures weren't designed to add modules the way the new ones are, so I will probably have to tear them apart and drill new holes. Yay.
Here's my plan as of now. The only things I don't already have are the pro white modules and the dimmers. I REALLY don't want to waste all the money I have already spent.
