Eek a crab!

I dont know about any competition in my tank as of yet, but tonight as I watched the same lame shows and old reruns I noticed a shadow, not just any shadow but i do think it may have been the shadow of the ever elusive Eek the Crab, Lurking in dark places, I fear he may trying to intimidate the Happy little reef dwellers of Bubble Coral City, stearing clear from the North side of town due to the sparkling water bottle condo that everyone finds so appealing.... He hides.... He waits.... as for what its still unclear, Im sure he will emerge in his own good time and when Eek does Im sure he will be there to lay down the pimp hand, Until then I shall continue to stalk Bubble Coral City with my handy dandy flashlight with hopes that I may finally catch more than a quick glimpse of shadow, I shall keep posting in the meanwhile and maybe eventually hire the thug Brutus to take the upper hand if the situation rises to a dangerous level

Just setup a 20g Long tank a few weeks back and found a large black crab in there. Had to take out the piece of LR he was on and dig him out of a cave. Tried everything else. He was a def. pain in the ***...
 
bubble coral city is still quiet and peacful, the wonderful water bottle condo has been removed for the devious Eek the Crab is still nowhere to be found, Im sure he's watching, and Hiding, And lurking in those dark places watching me pointing an evil little claw and snickering under his breath at the loser human who cant seem to find him. But alas Eek I shall find you, someday, somehow, YOU WILL SLIP UP.... and when you do, it will be to late...

so anyway nomore new molts left behind, no shadows, and no sudden flash of movement from the corner of my eye, maybe just maybe he is gone.

In all of this drama I have however finally figured out how to upload a larger picture Bubble Coral City so here is a new pic :)

Eek is nowhere near as entertaining as Tim, TIM IS MY HERO and not to mention Tims owner gets to see him, Eek is still in hiding and I still cant seem to find him, but I still live with the hopes that someday he will slip up and then to me he will become much more than a molt or a shadow lurking in the darkness, I just hope he makes his appearance before he gets to big and I find out that Eek is somthing creepy like a Gorilla crap or somthing
 
Finally!!! it took me over a month but I finally found eek and caught him, I have been noticing my button polyps looking a bit unhappy and lost a couple but last night I snuck up on my tank and saw a quick flash into the polyps, upon further inspection I noticed a cave! I quickly ran to get some freshwater in a bowl and pulled out the colony and noticed just how big the cave was, it spanded under all the flesh of the button polyp colony and I saw him... the sneaky little bugger, not sure what kind of crab he is Im thinking some kind of decorator crab, if anyone has any ideas please chime in, Im going to keep eek of course, In my refuge where he can live out his happy little life and not destroy anything, he is only about the size of a dime

The tank looks great! It'll look even better when the corals start to grow and fill in some space. Keep up the good work!

Eek is all cute and sweet looking which Im sure is not the case, but no nightmares from him

Eek is much cuter than I could have imagined. I was picturing an evil noctural beast.

It's cool that eek can live in your regure where you'll be able to observe him. I know you've caught the crab but.. - keep us updated :)
 
I certainly will, Eek has a special place in my heart, I set up the small refuge for many benifits but I did have him in mind, If not him I did want to put a diff crab in there, Im just happy it turned out to be him, but at least now I know he can watch over Bubble coral city w/o destroying it and the other residents may live in peace just knowing he's behind walls
