Eel issue please look

Please look at let me know what you think and how to treat. He is the only animal in the aquarium. Also it is in the same spot as a previous wound caused by another eel that used to be in the same tank.

I do not have any eels so take this with a grain of salt. It is definitely some type of growth, possibly an abcess if this was the site of previous injury. How long has it been there, and is it getting larger? Hopefully someone who knows more about eels will post.

Shrimps , scallops, chopped bluerunner, salmon

Likely bacteria if it is from a wound.

Sometimes active predators can eat enough antibiotics. How active is it feeding? How large is it? If it would swallow food with enough antibiotics, it may work.

Otherwise, you will have to treat in tank water. The extent to which an antibiotic will harm nitrification bacteria varies, to mild to grave. Neomycin, kanamycin and erthromycin are milder in this regard; chloromycetin is grave.

Thats what I was thinking of doing but I couldnt remember the name of the antibiotics to use
