Eel-like fish for a 30 gallon?

Hello! Are there any eels or eel-like fish that can thrive in a 30 gallon? (Not the golden dwarf moray 'cause it costs too much:spin2::spin2::spin2:) Any suggestions?

Yellow faced pikeblenny. They have them at KPAquatics, although you may need to wait for weather warm enough for them to collect.

How do you care for pipefish? The bluestripe pipefish looks pretty cool!

They'll need 2-3 small feedings/day.

Pipefish aren't the easiest to care for. They do best in pairs and often refuse to eat the food we give them. Their life span is about 2-4 years when proper care is provided.

If you get them, be sure to quarantine because I have had and read about many cases of them coming into wholesalers with internal parasites.

Brine shrimp nauplii are healthy and if was was getting a pipefish I would plan on hatching brine for it's entire life. If you get it to eat frozen, great. The flat brine shrimp hatcheries that look kind of like a frisbee are very easy for small amounts.

I have a pair of blue stripe pipefish in my tank. They aren't too difficult if you have the right setup (not to many aggressive eaters who will outcompete for food). They're usually considered the "easiest" of all the pipefish to convert to frozen. I feed mine nutramar ova and sometimes they'll go for smaller pieces of mysis. Make sure you have copepods and other microfauna though, to ensure they can eat throughout the day when you can't feed. I'll post a video of them eating if I can.
