Eel looks swimming weird

Hi everybody,

The other day i placed an order with Chris from finaddictsaltwater place, not only did he sent me the wrong species but a sick eel. This black edge moray was eating and swimming but occasionally it will swim backwards and confusingly around the tank. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? Ammonia/nitrite poisoning? Cyanide poisoning? internal parasites?

I really do want to do my best to keep this guy alive, any advice is greatly appreciated!

Have you tried posting this in the "Fish Only & Aggressive Tanks" forum here?

I don't have enough experience with eels to even comment about what might be happening here.
