I am using a rack of illuminated prefilters to grow algae and as a herbivore feeder. The surface and volume are packed with oxygen bubbles. I'm wondering what the effect of a large surface of oxygen gas in water, specifically possible precipitation of phosphorus and trace metals on the static bubble surface.
