Effective macroalgae for nutrient export that won't go sexual.

As Chaetomorpha is usually kept floating, probably not.

Halimeda has a low propensity to "go sexual" and is fairly readily available from other hobbyists. Lightly calcified Halimeda like Halimeda tuna grew better for me. Halimeda is harvested similarly to how Caulerpa is harvested. The spread of some Halimedas can be difficult to control.

In brightly lit tanks Sargassum some times does well, and it is easier to control where Sargassum spreads than most macroalgae.

Inland Aquatics sells a "flora kit" with a variety of macroalgae that a generally suitable for in-tank use, check their website.

Thanks, I checked it out. Looks like I have a few options. I'll need to do some more research and find out which macro algae looks best to me.
