effects of halrequins in a nano's water parameters

Who has'em in a nano? From my past experience, they leave the innards of starfish all over the tank, and no clean up crew cleans them up! I never tested the water while I had them so I wouldn't know if their eating habits will impact the water in a smaller system. Anyone care to chime in?

i wanted to get a pair of harlequin shrimps. after some reading over at nanoreef, i've come to conclusion that you have to manually remove the remains of the starfish from the tank before it starts to decompose and contaminate your water. hope that helps!
