Egg laying FOOLS!!!!
I have a pair of Talbot Damsels and a pair of Blue Devils that lay eggs every 7 days. Can someone Please tell me how I can protect the fry from being fish food. How difficult is it to raise them? Is it worth the trouble? I'm not looking for a cash flow just the experience
Here is a couple small pics.Thing is I like the color of the orange and purple Talbot

its very much possible to raise them i personally would get the pairs out into a seprate broodstock tanks like 10 and with a tile or pot i use the same thing wth my clowns they lay them on the pot and i just swap them out other wise really they will be fish food . a nother great place to get info on breeding and setups is rareclownfish.com

Powder is very much --right on the money.
Unless you plan on removing the eggs from the display tank, you need to move the parents to a broodstock tank. Other than this you can place a physical restriant over the egg mass (like some form of cup or netting) or get the damsels to lay the eggs on something removable like a tile or epoxy
AS for raising damsel fry, it can be done, its more difficult than clownfish, as the fry are smaller and take longer to settle.

Just be sure you have a destination in mind for the young. Ask a couple of LFS if they would buy them from you if you're successful.

I've got a LFS that will take Them in for store credit. They have done it with fresh water stuff.they have even let me use urchins for algae clean up and then taken them back.they even gave me spaghetti algae and when it needs a hair cut I take it back and he spreads it around. They do different things for there regaler customers.

I really appreciate the help.
