my cuttle eggs are hatching soon, but i dont have any live foods except amphipods. I was wondering if i can feed them dead mysis and add some flow so the dead mysis can tumble around tricking the cuttles into thinking it's live, would this be possible? i also have dead rotiers. other option would be to collect amphipods, but i dont know if they would it them.

You might want to order mysids until the hatchlings reach 1 or 2 inches in length. Try aquaculturestore.com or mysidshrimp.com

I would rather not order anything online, shipping cost way too much $$$. I think i may have another option, my lfs has a bunch of pregnant peppermint shrimps, can i use those babies to feed the cuttle fry?

They will probably work... my concern is quantity. You really need input from one of the guys who breeds cuttles. They come through here once in a while, but if you post this in the cuttle forum at TONMO.com and you'll get a much quicker response.

Raising cuttles is an expensive endeavor. Not really any way around it. The only reason I got another octo isntead of cuttle eggs.
