then i'd say dont do the wet/dry because the bioballs in them can build up nitrates, which are pretty bad in a reef. Maybe if you take the bioballs out tho, you could just run live rock rubble or something in it instead.
just make sure you've got 1 lb of rock or more per gallon of water.
