I see that Eheim pumps are well liked by members of RC. I am putting together a 75 gallon reef which has a center overflow with a 1 inch drain. Quiet operation is a big factor in my selection since the aquarium is in the living room. My sump/refugium is 40 gallons. I am planning on using a 1260's for both my skimmer and the return, with both probably in sump. For a CLS I was leaning toward a 1262 with an OM Super Squirt. Does this sound reasonable?
Also, I am concerned using one externally as I noticed in a thread a couple months ago that someone had an issue with the lockring which holds on the impeller cover had come loose. Is this a common occurance?
