Eheim Quick Vac Pro?

Anyone use this before in their salt water tanks? My issue is that with my current gravel vac (Python so connects to the faucet) is that it can't pick up any of the algae that I scrap off the back wall. Have to get a net out to try to get out of the tank.

Was just wondering if anyone has used this and if it had enough power to suck up loose algae that you have brushed off your tank/rocks.

Thanks

They are pretty useless unless you have gravel for a substrate. Might work if you just want to do the rocks, but it also needs a lot of water depth to work properly. If your goal is to use it to suck up random stuff you have blown off your rocks or side of your tank, it definitely wouldn't work well. I think it needs like minimum 12" above the sucker to work. Not ideal if you are trying to suck something up in the top half of the water column.

I tried using one just to get the detritus around the rock edges and the pump kept seizing up with the slightest little bit of sand that got sucked up.

Wouldn't recommend them personally.
