Eibli x Lemonpeel

Hey Tim, sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but did the C. flavissima and C. eibli ever pair up?

Sorry to hear that and that Golden was a beauty. Unfortunately this is not season for them...I've been looking ever since you posted pics of the Golden.

The ebili wasn't eating anything and they started to scratch so I medicated with prazi then three days later all dead. I'm not really sure of the real culprit.

I have a pair made up of a Lemonpeel and a Coral Beauty at school. They have been on their own since the beginning of winter break, so hopefully they will make it through Monday. The custodians are feeding for me until we get back, but that was only for a few days. I'll keep my eye out on whether they clean each other - honestly to me it looked like sparring, but sparring and defensive postures are very similar to inviting a cleaner from what I've seen.

They are actually paired? Have they spawned?

I have not seen them but was talking to Copps about it and his opinion is that they are probably spawning when the lights go off. He told me about going to someone's house and sitting up until midnight to catch that person's pair in action...

Unfortunately, I think that the chances of ever seeing these two spawn is slim to none - they are in school and I have no ability to sit there after hours as the alarms go off. If they were at my house, that would be another story, but not at school.

Is one larger than the other and is one gravid (full of eggs, look fatter...)? The female, if they are spawning, should look much more plump, round, full, however you wanna look at it, than the male, who would overall be larger just wouldn't look like he has eaten as much.

hey tim, what are you feeding the lemonpeel? I just got one myself and i'm feeding mysis and flake along with some other similar mixes.-- he seems to be eating and doing alright but i'm just looking to see what some people with experience are feeding?

These fish didn't make it like I said earlier. Mysis is fine and if it will eat algae sheets you should be fine.
