Gotta say one of my fav cuc member...always on the move..? Is how big do they really get..should I still be looking for larger shells?want to make sure he's.comfortable

They get about around 2" in size. When underfed they may go after corals.


Definitly one of my favorite types of hermits as well.

Any slow fish like dragonites and clown gobies would be at risk. Hermits are still oppertunistic like other crabs, these one are just slightly larger giving them more capabilities.

I have 4 large ones in my 37cube, I know they've taken out some large turbo's for their shell and food. I believe that they were also a cause for taking out some scarlet's as well. They do tend to knock over lose coral or small rubble rock.

Pretty things IMO. I do have a red dragonet that they don't bother even when they're walking around or the fish is right beside them.

Yeah they'll go after other hermits and snails for shells. That's how I ended up losing my blue knuckle hermits.
