Electric Flame Scallop breeding?

Purple Penguins

New member
Last night my EFS moved from his normal spot that he loves and I notice these little white almost clear circular things with like strings or filiments hanging from them all over, there has to be about 10 of them stuck to the side of my tank, does anyone know if they are asexual and breed in a home aquarium? or what this might be, Im unable to get a pic of them because they are so small, any help would be greatly appreciated

No sorry, no babies for you. Since the flame "scallop" is actually a species of file clam they produce byssal threads to attach to rocks and whatnot. That is what you are seeing not eggs.

Would be cool though I have had a regular flame "scallop" for almost a year now and I would love to have them breed but they are hard enough to keep alive in the home aquarium from what I have heard.
