Electric Scallop

Those have a very miserable track record in captivity. Most live less than a year due to slow starvation. :(

Very cool. But most say scallop dont live long in captivity...like around 6 months due to the fact our tanks dont supply enough food

Agreed. I inherited 2 of these through unfortunate circumstances and had 1 die within a couple months. Definitely read that article above in advanced aquarist. They will bury themselves in your rock within days and you'll barely ever see them if at all. I surprisingly still have the one and it seems healthy but I spot feed it every day and over feed my tank tons to try and make sure it's getting enough. Time will tell I guess.
I would not decide to get one of these.

Actually was reluctant to purchase a scallop as aware of the starvation issue, any reports of keeping them over a year in aquarium would like to hear. Was going to bowl feed but they don't like to be moved.

May try baster target feeding.

Most of the ones that I've heard of surviving long term were in NPS tanks that get much more frequent feedings than the average reef tank.
