Electricity in my tank fish kill?

I have some doubts, yesterday I reached my aquarium to accommodate corals and I felt a small shock in my hand, I wonder if these discharges may feel the fish and corals .. guess for him to pass electric shocksThey must make contact with Earth?

Probably something wrong with some equipment or your " ground". You should seriously look into that though your fish are safe ( just like squirrels walking on electrify wires) you may have problems!
That happened where I used to work we had to do some re-wiring and change some wall sockets .

You should find the source of your electrical shock,and eliminate it,or replace the component that is faulty.Fish can feel the shock.I remember hearing of an experiment where fish had a choice of 2 caves . One with a shock added and one without.They stayed away from the cave that had been set up to shock ,in the experiment...
This was not my experiment,but those were the results.
Salt water eventually will short out whatever is not properly insulated from it.This isn't an uncommon problem,but it is one that needs fixing.

humaguy, one question fish may feel the electricity so do not touch ground?

The fish and corals are not grounded, so therefore the electrical current isn't really flowing through them?. By touching the tank you are, in most cases the only route to ground. If you have enough electrical current for you to feel it, you definately have a problem.

Hey Sebastian,

It is an issue that should be easily corrected. There is a theory that stray elec could lead to lateral line disease or hole in the head. Plus, lol, it is no fun doing a wc with that problem... Unplug you heater, that might solve the issue, if not, unplug everything- one by one- and you will find the cause.
