Elegance Coral Help!

Hello everyone.

I am posting this becuase I am in desperate need of some help with my Elegance corals. I have two pieces, both I have have had since the beginning of May. I got them from a LFS in Mobile, Al. They were beautiful pieces which I got for *super* cheap b/c they didn't have a clue what they were, otherwise I wouldn't have even tried this type of coral since I have heard they are rather difficult to keep.
Anyway, as I said I have had them since May and they have been doing great. They have been fully extending and seemed to be thriving. Last week they started retracting a little at a time...they are fully retracted now. I can see a bit of the skeleton on both of them now. I moved them into the frag tank thinking that maybe there was something funky in the reef tank that was bugging them. Well, that hasn't seemed to help or hurt either way.
I really have no idea what to do and I really don't want to loose these pieces. Other than them being retracted fully I don't see anything going on (no film or anything).
Any ideas? Any suggestions?
*Anything*?

I can and will post pictures after while if that will help.

Also, how do you tell if they are Aussie or Indo's?
Mine are green with blueish tips on the tentacles if that helps. Depending on the type they are, would lighting or needs differ?

Sorry this is long but I am at wits end!

Thanks, Angel

This is a picture of the smaller Elegance that I have...just thought I would share.

That is actually a picture of my smaller elegance before it got sick. I mainly posted that picture to see if anyone could tell me if it was Indo or Aussie.

As far as water flow and lights go it was in a 46 gallon under T5 lighting with low water flow. Niether of them were in the substrate, they were placed higher up on the rock work which could have been a problem. Maybe they were getting too much light?
Since they got sick I have moved them to the frag tank, hoping that the water quality was better. They are still under T5 lighting but they are in the substrate now....I would imagine that they are still getting the same amount of light.
If it will help I could take pictures of them as they are now to give you all an idea of what is going on with them.
Thanks again for the input.

you should up the water flow on the elegance. It doesnt' have to be high or direct but it should be moderate. It would help to take a picture. Also are you adding any type of trace elements, micro-plankton or brine shrimp for feeding? Pictures would be great to help find your problem, also what is your calcium and strontium levels or have you tested?

I will take some pictures and post them a little later tonight and get them posted. We feed brine shrimp twice a day but thats all. I am not the "tester" lol...he is but I will ask him to do that tonight.

I may have some good news but am trying to not get my hopes up just yet. I have put both of them back in the big tank but I have placed them *way* lower and in the shade. So far, they have puffed up a little...I can even see tentacles on the big one.
Keep your fingers crossed for me.
