did you acclumate the corals to the new lighting system? that may have caused alot of the prob. however these corals have a very bad track record in tanks due to a reason unknown but they are concidered one of thew hardest corals to care for. good luck

How log have you had it? What is the photoperiod? I would keep the number of hours (photoperiod) to a minimum (say 5 or 6 hours a day) and see if this helps.

Hi just wanted to no if you feed your elegance. I feed mine just after lights out . so my fish wount take its food. they take a long
time to eat. mine is on the sand bed now. and bigger then ever
Ive had mine over a year now. also did you change any lihgting,

it was exposed to light for 12 hours a day that had been reduced to 4 hours then to 5 now 6 hours, still nothing, i do notice it does come out a little bit more when lights are out.
I try to feed but it just throws the food away after a small amount of time.. what are you guys feeding???
owh and lighting was changed yes to MH

HOW MUCH CHANGE DID YOU DO TO THE LITGHTING . LIKE
PC TO MH . AND WHAT TYPE MH 175 250 400. THAT MAKES A BIG
DIFF. HOW BIG IS YOUR TANK. AND IS THERE ANY THING PICKING
ON IT. MY CLOWNS LIVE IN MINE . AT FIRST HE CLOSED UP BUT THEN HE GOT USE TO THEM . I KEEP MY CAL AT 450. FEED
CUT UP SHRIMP, RAW FROM WALLMARTS, ONE HOLE SHRIMP
EACH WEEK . MAKE SHORE YOU HAND FEED IT ,PUT THE PICES
RIGHT ON ITS MOUTHS. AND YOU MAY WANT TO MOVE HIM TO
THE SAND BED. HOPE THIS HELP.

the change was huge
NO (only 90watts) to 2 150 MH and 2 HO 54watts each
tank is a 4ft x1.5 x 2
all my other corals etc are fine
and the food situation is hard it dosnt eat i do place the food on its mouth but it just wont eat. I have moved him to the sand bed also (less light)
thanks in advanced

That should help alot. and try to get your CAL up to over 400
ill try to get a new pic of mine tomarrow. Mines is pink & green
with white tips.

I am finding it near impossible to get the ca levels that high, once upon a time i could, but every day i am doseing the limit of what i should be doing and i cant get any better.
Am i over skimming maybe??? should i turn the skimmer off for a day or two?

No dot turn of skimmer . What are u useing to dose with. Ive
been useing, Seachem REEF Advantage calcum. Im luck that
we have hard water he it comes from the ro/di at 350 ppm
so i don,t have to add much in my top of water. buts hard on my ro/di. Is your elegance looking any better. hers a pic of mine.
