I was wondering if anyone has kept an Elegance successfully under metal halide lighting?

If so, could you list:

1) Metal halide wattage and color spectrum
2) Height of tank
3) Where the Elegance was placed in the tank

Thanks!

if you want success with elegance..get Ausie..i have two and they seem to be bulletproof...under 250 phoenix, 30inch height tank, place at bottom

best place to keep them is in the substrate. moderate to low water flow and MH, HQI in the 14K's would work

i have an australian elegance under x2 175 se with x2 110 wat vho in a standard 75 gal. it is located at the bottom of the rockwork.aussy elegance are verry adaptable though i wouldent try a indo elegance under mh although i wouldent try an indo one at all now that australian elegance are avalable.who wants a brown elegance aneyhow lol.

On that issue I wouldn't be too prescriptive because my experience is that depending on the origin the would be happy with more or less light.

Mine is a neon green one from Australia and is doing very well 40 cm under 150W HWI 14000ºK Even the two dauthers it has are doing very well 80 cm from the light point.
