Elegance...

So today I swung by my LFS to see what all new things they had. I picked up a Melanurus Wrasse, a pink pincushion urchin, a green clown goby, and a sherbert orange colored brittle starfish. As I was looking around, the owner told me he got in a frag of an elegance coral. I had been admiring a coral in his main store display that he told me was an elegance coral. He said as soon as the guy he knew fragged one out he would let me know. So I picked it up and took it home. It's acclimating decently, it hasn't opened up fully yet though. It is also a pretty small frag. But my question is, are there more kinds of elegance coral? Because this coral does not look anything like the conventional elegance. It's base is a deep red almost purple and it doesn't have big tentacles like regular elegance. It's also very compact, it reminds me of a slightly longer tentacled galaxea, but the tips are really brightly colored. I know I should post a pic of what it looks like but the lights are out for the night and it hasn't fully opened as of yet. I was just curious if there are more than one kind, because the owner said it wasn't the typical elegance that I was thinking of.

It could be an elegance but hard to say until it opens up. That said you should place it in the sandbed and low flow.

This is what it looks like when it's open. It doesn't look anything like my other Galaxea I have. The base structures are completely different.

Really? That's pretty cool. I didn't know it could have different base structures. That one has more of a wall structure, and my other Galaxea looks like a ball of spikes when it closes.
