Well, I am from Israel and I have been an avid reader here in Reefcentral, however I haven't written very much as I prefer to read and learn, there are some pretty smart people here and I have learned a lot over the years from people like Steven Pro, Anthony Calfo, etc'...
However, I must give props to the man who taught me almost everything I know and has been my mentor for every minute in my reefkeeping time, that man is Vili_shark. So thanks to him
On to the build.
I have had several tanks before, nanos, reefs and fowlr, however this time I wanted to make my dream tank (as room allows).
The tank I picked is a 80x80x60 Reef Octopus cube. WHITE!
Saw the tank, loved the tank, ordered the tank, got the tank, now setting it up
As for the tech stuff, I currently have a Reef Octopus 3,000 l/h pump getting water from the sump up to the main tank.
Lighting was ordered last week, a Sfiligoi Infinity fixture - 1x400 watt MH + 4x24 watt T5's + 2 moonlights. Offcourse everything electronic.
As for the skimmer I still haven't decided on anything, I have a few choices at my disposal:
A reef Octopus cone skimmer with a Laguna or bubble blaster pump.
The new Deltec 2060 internal.
And a few more choices, Still can't make a choice.
For cooling I have a Teco RI220 chiller and I got the Giesemann 5 cooling fans to put between the lighting and the tank's water surface.
I think that's about it
Tomorrow I'll post some pics of the tank it self and a sketch of the rockwork.
