Elements?

I have kent marine essential elements the question is should i use it or not? If i do use it what should i test for before adding it? Some of the stuff it replenishes are Calcium, iodine, iron, Magnesium.:eek2:

theres no need for it. if you do your water changes the only thing you will need to add is some calcium, and something for alk. maybe some magnesium once in a while. all i add is some homemade 2 part for calcium and alkalinity. it keeps everything balanced very well. heres a good link on the major elements, and what they do. book mark it . http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/rhf/index.php
