Elephant Ear Ate My Clown

Bad week for my two clowns. One jumped into my overflow and died in one of my drain pipes. Found the other one inside my damn elephant ear last night! I know this happens but never thought it would to my clowns. They usually never go near it.

Here is a closer look. These photos aren't great. They're with my iphone. You can see the orange and white of the clown just above the corals mouth.

I may get rid of the elephant ear. It's huge and I don't want this to happen again. Anyone else here have this happen?

Same reason i got rid of mine, mine tried to eat a regal tang!!

Haha. I got it at AA about a year ago. It was about the size of a 50 cent piece. Now the size of a dinner plate. What did they give you for it?

Yes this is what these large mushrooms do. They trap fish by curling up and the fish can not find the way out. I had this happen 25 years ago. After finding that out I never recommend them for aquariums.

This happened to me about 3 years ago. Ate my onyx clown.

I have a pair of clowns in my sump that I can let go. They are a large mated pair. They are hosted with a BTA. $60 with the BTA if you are interested. I have too many clowns! LOL
