Emergency basement sump questions

Well I had a slight accident last weekend and a turbo snail got sucked down my return drain pipe and my system overflowed all over the new carpet.... :(

So the tank has been drained and everythig has been placed in a emergency nano till the carpet padding is replaced.

Soooo since I have to tear up the carpet the bare floor is gonna be exposed for some drilling and cutting if I want... this might be the right time to add in a sump room in the basement... but I need to do this quick.

Display is a 75g RR AGA with (2) 175w 10ks, (2) 110w VHO, 2 seio 820's, 3/4 Sea swirl on a CL.

My idea is to add in (2) 100G rubbermaid tubs...
1st tub is for the return water and my ER skimmer, then have it gravity feed the second tub that will be the refugium with LR, LS and macro algae and piped off to a Barracuda pump back to the display.

Also would it be smart to make both of my drilled holes in my overflow returns?

Any suggestion would be great I need this to be all done by the 17th before I leave for FL...
