Emergency: Can you help?

Can you help me catch fish, get them to a different environment, something to keep them alive!

I woke up this morning to several fish dead and the others obviously in distress. I am not quite sure why. I did a water change and ran some carbon as well as getting my MP-40 close to the surface to increase oxygen.

Thanks. I'm not sure what the issue is. They were just fine, then suddenly not. I had a sea apple that retreated into the rocks...maybe he died...I don't know.

Looks like only fish are affected. Corals and inverts are just fine. I'm guessing a sponge or sea apple died. Sad morning to be sure.

Tcamos, I would love to help but i am out of town until this evening. Do you have any fish that still need to be rehomed? Sorry to hear about your losses!

Thanks. I have two clownfish and a bangai that seem to be healthy but everything else seems to be gone. Some fish retreated into the rocks and likely died there.

Corals and inverts are just fine so I'm guessing my sea apple died. It's only a guess, but that makes sense as this only affected fish.

I'm not 100% sure but, it's gone. The fish are dead but nothing else is. No, I'm not certain but the evidence is there. I also have a FW tank and all the fish in it are just fine so if it was something airborn from our cleaning I would expect there to be an issue with that as well.

When I get back into town this evening I would be happy to fishsit your Bangai and clownfish until your tanks gets back under control?

The female clown succumbed, so did the bangai. It looks like I have the male clown and my yellow clown goby just came out for food so he's alive. He doesn't look in the slightest stressed or bothered. The male clown is clearly wondering where his mate went.

Have you broken down the tank to find the sea apple? I'd want to get everything left over from the sea apple out of the tank and then perform as large of a water change as possible.

Sorry to hear about your losses...

My main concern now is actually the bodies of several fish that are likely back in the rocks. The holotoxin won't bother corals or inverts but ammonia will.
