Emergency: Chromis laying on bottom

Recovering Detritophobe
Hello all,

I came home today to find my blue chromis laying on the bottom of my 24g nanocube. When provoked he swam a little bit. He seems to have a white mark (couldnt see clearly) on the bottom of him, about midway through his body. All his fins look fine.

I have had him for 3 weeks, and he has been perfectly fine and eating well. A week ago I added a false occelaris clown and a firefish, and removed a larger percula. On sunday I added a large head of hammer. These are the only recent changes in the tank. I seriously doubt he was picked on; he is probably the most aggressive one in there. In addition to the fish above there is a black clown and a clown goby in the tank.

Can these fish be stung by euphyllia? There was already a smaller hammer and frogspawn in the tank (for as long as he has been in there).

I have removed the chromis to a hospital tank. I need to know if I should treat him with anything, or is this would just be stressful and he would be better off in a QT without medication. I know this condition usually has a poor outlook, but I have had a fish come back from something like this before. He is still slightly active and can swim, but he sways from side to side a lot.

Thanks,
Mike
