EMERGENCY!!!Need some help...koran eating coral...

I need some help fast! My koran angel who i have had for a year now...he started to eat my new brain coral tonight...I caught the bastard in the act...After a short intermission of like a second...I made the decision he needs a new home fast, because i don't want him to eat my other coral or new ones in the future for that matter....HOW DO I GET HIM OUT OF MY TANK WITH 160lbs of LR?...he has HLLE a bit...but obviously eats great!

I placed the coral at the top of the tank in a plastic zip lock Tupperware container with a lid and 5 holes...I hope this keeps until i can get him out...I don't care who he goes to...a restocking fee would be nice, but he needs to be gone...

do you know where it sleeps? if so put that rock at the top and what a couple of hours and then have a bucket ready with tank water and then take the rock out quick and also use a net in case. this has worked for me several times. hopes this helps

Well he sleeps in the back on the bottom...not in a rock...He hasn't tried to hurt any other corals yet, so I think tomorrow during feeding time? I will keep a net in the tank for a bit and drop the food in by the net and just scoop up? A 2 liter bottle also cut and the top half inverted with a hole to catch him?

stumped and ****ed, but I think the coral will make it since it got the rims...should heal i hope and not really bad..grrrr

Get a big clear plastic bag like the one you get at a fish store, then get two seaweed clips and attach them to the opining of the bag. You want the opening to be big. Suction cup them to the inside of the front glass and open the bag up, it should look like a long tube. Put some of the fish's favorite food in the bag, when he swims in reach in opining side first, if he gets scared he will swim into the back of the bag and just pull it out.

nice. and ask around about treating it with iodine to help the healing proceses

You guys have been very helpful so far...his tentacles are coming out now so i am thinking he will be ok(thank god i caught it early)...I keep checking him like every 10-20min lol

Whenever I want a fish out~ First thing I do is get someone to help..it's just good to have an extra set of hands, it makes it go much quicker. Remove most of the water, have some new water on hand for displacement & cleaning of rocks. Remove top rocks onto newspaper on floor or in buckets if necessary. Remove fish, swish rocks around in some of the water & replace, replace water & new water.{the added bonus is alot of detritus removal in the rocks}

Well allll be damned....the bag trick WORKED!!! he went right in after like 10minutes of waiting...blamo gotcha! Any takers on the Koran? he is sitting in a bucket right now with a bubbler....I am open to any offers...this is him...he has a little bit of HLLE but seems to be getting better after i changed tanks and equipment...I got him for $40 about a year ago...he eats like a monster...

BTW i want him to go to a good home...he has been well cared for and I would like someone who really cares for their fish to have him...
