2 days ago i got a baby hippo tang about and inch and a half long. I acclimated him into my 55G (i know its to small but i will be upgrading soon). I have 2 blue damsels with yellow tails, a four stripe damsel and two lyretail cromis's. The cromis's seem to boss everyone else alone, and the damsels themselfs dont seem to be very aggresive. My hippo has been coming out, but staying in one spot. I dont want his to starve, or be stressed past the limit. Could i get away with just taking out the Cromis's? i really dont want to get rid of my damsels but i dont want to loose my hippo. Ive heard that the hippos dont like other blue fish, does that make sense? Any help would be appreciated, i dont want my little guy to die:eek:

you should have never bought such small a juvy with those 2 blue damsels. Get rid of them asap. They WILL pester him to death. (depending on how old they are now).

are they being aggressive to the tang? As far as I know this seems normal behavior for a blue tang just added to a tank.

tangs that little are very insecure; total scardey cats. They need a super low aggression environment till they get bigger. It seems like you have all the wrong fish for that poor tang.

Did you mean Lyretail Anthias? Never seen an aggressive Chromis.
