Emperor 400's as Refuge

Ok so the 30 will be set up in the basement basically for my enjoyment. Salt itch is killing me lol. I was thinking of using 2 emperor 400's as a sump/fuge instead of the 40 B as I will be the only one viewing it and I don't care what it looks like as long as coral grow lol. It would also simplify things immensely. The back will be painted black so the suction tubes will be semi hid against it. I have one in my 20H frag tank right now and it is doing a good job with flow and fuge with live rock which brings up another question. Does anyone have cheato they would be willing to sell me. Lmk. I am going to post a coral wish list shortly.

if you already have the emperors then go for it, otherwise if starting from scratch, I would do the traditional alternate tank fuge... its always cool to have a glass fuge so you can view the creatures

Ya Adam i have 3 400's. I would leave the one on the frag tank and the other 2 would go on the 30 one with cheato and the other with LR rubble. I'm so on the fence right now about the setup and just throwing things out there. Want it to be a simple system at least as much as possable.
