emperor angel in 300g?

gday all,

want to upgrade my tank to a 300g, 8x2x2, i think r the correct mesurments. Do u think a Emperor Angel will be happy in a tank of these dimentions or would it have to be re-located to a bigger tank later on in the future?

Has anyone got a emperor in a tank this size living happily?

I think a 300G is fine for an Emperor, but I am sure he will be happier if you can increase your width and your depth a little, maybe at the expense of the length if you don't want to go over 300G. 2 ' X 2' is a bit narrow (IMO).

looks fine, but since you're goin reef i'd go w/the 30" width to make it 300gal. 96"x30"x24" you'll appreciate the extra width.

8x2x2 is only 240Gals.

The emperor will be happy in that size tank but I concur with the modifications mentioned above. These are wonderful animals and grunt in such a meaningful way.
