Emperor Angel with Clams

Hi, I have an Emperor Angel about 2in to 3in. He or she never nip at any coral in my tank.Except for acans.I would want a clam in my tank like a derasa but I would afraid of the clam might getting nip at. Should I try it out?Any recommendation

I had a emperor angel in my display with 12 clams I was fine for 5-6 months but came home one day and it was having clam dinner don't do it.

i definitely wouldnt try it. i feed my emperor angels oysters and mussels in a half shell and they make quick work of them.
