Emperor Angelfish

Hey all,

New to this forum and relatively new to the hobby. I have a 60 gallon salt water tank and no casualties in the two years it's been running. I have an Emperor Angelfish that is acting really strange lately. Always swimming up at the top of the tank where the water from the sump pump comes back in. I'm assuming this can't be a good thing. I did chemical checks and water changes. Salinity and temperature are good. The only thing that is out of the ordinary is I have high levels of Nitrate and phosphates.

Does anyone know what this means? What should I do? Any suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The minimum aquarium size for Emperor Angelfish is 220 gallons, that's what's wrong.
You should return the fish to your LFS for store credit or find another home for it.
