Hello,
After deciding to keep my tank I went to Ft Lauderdale and bought a beautiful Emporer Angel for my tank. He is around 7 inches and eats like a pig. I bought him from a person who owned him for 8 months.

The problem he is too agrresive for me. He has nipped my poor purple tang fins in 24 hours. So he gots to go!

You must have a large tank with some what aggresive fish for this guy. He will rule the tank! I want $125 for him. He would be $200.00 plus at the LFS and you dont have to take a gamble on this guy, he is healthy and eats like a champ.

I will be in Tampa tomorrow afternoon for serious inquiries only. So I can bring him and meet you. Please dont set something up not to show up. I dont want him in the car for 4 hours adding more stress.

rob just train him to eat what you want. julian trained an orange spotted filefish to eat strictly flake food. if he gets out of line just employ the tactics used in a clockwork orange. you'd be the envy of the hobby.
 
yeah, i don't want to be a hijacker, but i trained an undulated trigger to behave by placing him in a ten gallon tank with small damsels and a powerhead with a live wire and an earth ground. anytime he'd go after them i'd pull the ground and let him get a small shock. within a short time he got the message. now he's so docile i can almost hold him in my hand.
 
... i would really be worried about causing internal damage to a fish by using electricty to teach thme not to do something...
 
And i thought shock collars for dogs were bad. Beautiful fish... Hope you find a good home for him.
 
well i kinda consider myself a pioneer. i dream of the day when all tangs will swim in the same school, when butterflies and angels will swim fin and fin, and all reef fish will view coral as their neighbor and not their lunch. it's been a year and the trigger is fine.

i'm not after an aryan breed of fish like some of you clownfish inbreeders. i just want an eutopian reef. how is this cruel, humanity employs similar tactics. we coexist b/c we fear consequences. people fear the sword. and if that does not work we must fear a higher power and ironically this power is satan. ...... the horror..... the horror....
 
so sorry about the thread Teog. The emporer is gorgoues and that price is a steal, I saw one for $250 at a LFS recently. The undy is probably docile because he's been electronically lobotomized. Society has nothing to do with the natural instincts of animals. Their behavior serves a natural order. For example, when people kill off apex predators such as wolves, deer become overpopulated and starve to death. Of course this natural order isn't needed in an aquarium but, that is still a bizarre thing to be doing. It's cruel because a fish does not operate with intelligence and reasoning, it operates on instinct and you are harming the fish when it does what it's instincts tell it to do.
 
society has nothing to do with the natural instincts of animals ? the last time i checked we are classified as **** sapiens. are you excluding us from the natural order of things ? we are at the crux of the natural order b/c we are THE apex predator. don't our instincts tell us to survive ? are we without instinct ? are we not driven by basic needs that are rooted in the sole purpose of self preservation ? society curtails our instincts so we can all have a better chance at survival by circumventing the natural order of things. why not give fish and coral the same chance ?
 
Teog, I just saw that the aggression has gone down since you moved the rocks, glad it looks like you'll be able to keep him. Thanks for posting the pic though, really stunning. I like the Queen in your avatar, is that yours also?

mattliu, I have some very strong opinions in response to what you've posted but, I'm going to leave that alone before I get reprimanded or banned.
