Just curious if anyone has been to emporium pets to see if they have there saltwater stuff set up yet?

I heard they have it up and its getting better....slowly.

Im too scared to go in there but im gonna be making some flyers up for the enxt meeting so i suppose ill have to go....

I might try and get down there this weekend and check it out then. I guess we'll see if it's worth it or not! :D

emporium does have some set up but there selection is minimal. Most of what they had they sold before the move or have not set up. fish selection is minimal as well. last time I went a week ago they had one lion, a yellow tang, two box fish(?), 4 small clown gobies one purple fire fish and 3 skunk clowns.

I was up there this afternoon and I don't think I'll waste the time to go back for a long time......they have like 6 fish and 30 empty tanks, and according to the girl working jim and morine are going to do all the ordering so I wouldn't expect much for the future.

Well I probably won't waste my time then. I was kind of hoping the new place would see more SW than the old store did. Unfortunately it looks like it's going to be worse! :(

I second glaspies post. I was in there recently and wouldnt recomend anyone making any road trips in the near future. The few tanks that have fish in them dont have lights and they are sickly looking. They have a few corals that are overpriced and not too impressive. Ive heard they are really loosing business at the new site. Overall Im not impressed. I only live a few blocks away so I will try to keep everyone updated. Otherwise, Jen and Fish Focus usually has some good stuff if you can catch her at home.

She is on the west side of waterloo. Runs it out the basement of her house. It is a little of a pain to find. Her number is in the phone book.

I also have been waiting on emporium to restock. I have spoken to them 3-4 times, they always want me to give them a list of what to order, or someone is on vacation.

I did ask to speak to the owner, I explained that it would be in their best interest to atleast get the cyloppeze frozen bars back in. That opened the door for me to tell her about the GIRS meeting in Wloo.

I told her I would hold off telling the group to check them out that day until, I knew it would be worth the trip.

So we'll have to see what they do with the heads up.

I have lots of Cyclopeze to sell if some one is interested?
If I could mopve a bunch of it I could deliver to someone.

Well I happened to be in the area this weekend and stopped in and checked things out. Glad I didn't make a special trip. They def. have more room than they're other store did. They have a lot of organizing to do! Wow it's mess. On the neg. side. THE SMELL MOVED WITH THEM! AHHHHHHHHHH It smells just like the old store. Not quite as strong but I'm sure it will be once the "break it in" :D

Def. not worth a trip yet. THey did have some SW fish nothing special though, they did have one anthia (not sure what kind) that I just about grabbed but I didn't

Even most of there freshwater stuff isn't even for sale yet. Haven't they been in this new building for like 6 months now? What the heck is taking them so long???

Its gotta be the owners, they are old and need to freekin retire.
Why cant we have just one decent fish store around here???

Went there yesterday, alls i gotta say is those guys shouldnt be able to run a business like that....it was disturbing just being in there.

Just stopped over at Emporium. They have some new fish in but everything looks the same. No progress at all. They have some six line wrasses $18, a nice PB tang, some yellow tangs, foxface and if I dont talk myself out of it soon Im going to go back and get a yellow watchman. They had some other things but the ones listed are what caught my eye. Tanks are still in poor condition. Only about 3 or 4 have lights on them. I would have bought the watchman the first time but the place was a ghost town. I couldnt find any help so I thought forget about it. I could have bagged it myself and walked out. They have one dead or dying pagoda cup (i think) and one hairy mushroom rock thats way overpriced. I thing Ill call Jen at Fish Focus instead and see what shes got. Last week I was in and she said she was going to place and order soon, so if anyone wants anythign you should give her a call.
