empty propane tank for CO2 tank?

just wondering if you can use an empty propane tank as a CO2 tank and attach the regulators on the propane tank....

umm i am sure you could but why risk it. some trace elements of the propane will still exist and who knows what they will do in your reactor . but if you wanna risk a mutli thousand dollar reef on saving a hundred bucks on a co2 tank then go for it.

no one would fill it first off.... they are only allowed to put gases in cylinders meant for those types of gases.
