I added my first coral in aquarium a frag of encrusted montipora few weeks back which was bright purple in color when picked from my friend. two days back when i return from work i noticed it color is changed to brown.

i am using 2 MH 250W, doing 20% water change every week and water flow is also normal.

currently parameters are all normal which are

Salinity 1.026
Clacium : 451 (Checked with Hanna)
Nitrate : 0 (Checked with Salifert test kit)
Alkalinity : 8.9 (Checked with Salifert test Kit)
phospate : 0 (Checked with Salifert test kit)

any suggestion from you guys what improvement i do in aquarium to get color back.

You may need to add some nutrient. If your nutrients are too low (Nitrate 0 and PO4 0) then you ar probably starving the coral.

I would wait it out and see if it adjusts to its new environment. The color will return if everything stays stable. I would look into a Hanna phosphate meter, as I am not a fan of the Salifert test for phosphates. I like the Salifert tests for Alk and Ca though. Purple color can sometimes benefit from supplements, but I hate to advise that on a newer tank. Look at some of the Zeo supplements and color guide if you'd like to try them.
