I am nearling the end of my cycle and I have a 20L all ready to go for my quarintine. Here is my plan....
Once the Display is finished the cycle, I will do the first water change. I will use the discarded water to fill my QT. I also have a filter sponge sitting in my sump hopefully collecting useful bacteria to help kickstart biological fitration in my QT. I have an HOB filter on the QT which is where the sponge will go.
After water change, I will stock my display with a small clean-up crew. And I will order my mated pair of A. Perculas. Upon arrival, I will quarintine my percs in the QT for a few weeks while my clean-up crew gets to work in my display. Once ready, then I move the percs over to the display.
What do you think? Am I thinking correctly? Will my clean-up crew be OK without fish for a few weeks or should I wait for CUC? Also, how often should I perform water changes in my QT?
