engineer gobies, coral banded, blue legs, cleaners, the chaos of it all

I have a baby tiger clam on hold for a couple of days, but before adding it, who in my tank am i going to have to KO or watch out for when I add him?..... I have a coral banded that always looks guilty, never know with him, anyone know about any problems?... I'd also like to put him on the sandbed, mostly because I don't want him to fall when he's newly added. But in that, I also have two engineer gobbies, they love to push sand out all over anything on the ground and are constanly rearranging the floor to their liking... any suggestions????? Also I've always heard of green legged hermits rampaging tanks, coral, and other friends... but what about blue? I have many, and they seem to be very nosey, but mostly just stomp things and move on.... Any problems with these guys or dove snails??? I've seen a lot of post also conscerning cleaner shrimp, I have three of those and a fire shrimp... I want our new little guy to be happy in his new home, so any feedback would be much appreciated...

i dont know about the rest of the crew you have there but last night after the first 5 hours of my babby max being in its new new home with me i piclked off 15 or so blue leg hermets and removed a total of 25 or so. they all went for the shell though not the mantle. i hope i still have a clam when i get home tonight

hmmm...I have 1 coral banded shrimp, 2 cleaner shrimps, 1 peppermint shrimp, bunch of scarlet reef hermits, few large turbo snails as my invert collection and so far, in the past 6 omnths they've never bothered the 2 clams I have. The cleaners initially hid under the mantel when it was expanded, but the clam never retracted after the 1st day. I have them sitting up in the rockworks because of the golby problem also. Which is no longer a concern...I guess even a 4 inch sand bed in a 90G is not enough to sustain a 3 inch sand sifting golby

I banished the large blue legged hermit to my refuge because of the problem of knocking frags over in my tank, otherwise, I don't think the typical cleanup crew will like to dine on your prized clam...unles it's already dying, then the little critters will definitely live up to their name...cleanup crew.

well a couple o days have passed and the babby is happy and healthy with a really clean shell now. it seems his favorite pass time is shooting water at my lights when i have him out in his bowl feeding
